Procurement Specialist

Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Procurement Specialist, working for a public sector organisation with offices in Edinburgh.

• Inside of IR35 / initial 3 - 6 months
• £375 - £400 a day
• Hybrid working between home and an office in Edinburgh (2 - 3 days a week onsite).

The role will manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, support stakeholders, and ensure adherence to Scottish procurement legislation and policy.

• Undertake complete end‑to‑end procurement process from initial conception to contract award.
• Leading the development, planning and implementation of strategies for procurements optimising value for money.
• Active supplier management and customer engagement during the contract lifecycle.

• Demonstrable experience in a public sector procurement role in Scotland.
• Strong working knowledge of Scottish procurement legislation and governance.
• Experience using PCS / PCS‑Tender systems.
• Proven ability to manage regulated procurements from strategy to contract award.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluation and reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple procurements and priorities effectively.
