Procurement Officer

Edinburgh/Glasgow (2 days a week onsite)

Morgan Hunt are delighted to partner with a Public Sector Organisation as they look to welcome a Procurement Officer on a full time and permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support across the procurement lifecycle, including tendering, purchasing and contract administration.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding, quotation processes and maintaining procurement records.
  • Support the preparation of procurement documentation and ensure compliance with public sector policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data and update e-procurement systems.
  • Respond to stakeholder queries and support contract and supplier management activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience providing administrative support within a procurement or purchasing environment, preferably in the public sector.
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes, governance and compliance requirements.
  • Experience using e-procurement and financial systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team.
