The HR Officer post sits within the Corporate Services team at the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry. The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry is the biggest Inquiry ever conducted in Scotland and is investigating the devolved strategic response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022. The Inquiry will present its findings and make recommendations to Scottish Ministers.

The Corporate Services Team sits in the Operations Division and consists of Finance, HR, Procurement, business support, administration, planning, risk management and property.

Working as part of a small team, the ideal candidate will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills as you will be working closely with all members of the Inquiryas well askey stakeholders within SG. The teamis responsible for;managing staffing issues, providing advice, resourcing, workforce planning, induction, the People Surveyand advising on and arranging learning & development and training amongst other things.
