As such, we are lookingto appoint an outstanding Operations Director to this critical new position, who can shapeanddeliver transformational change within this progressive organisation.
The successful candidate will play akey role in integrating the business into the wider
Group, driving operational excellence, sharing best practice and helping create one high-performing organisation.
- This is asubstantial change management and leadership rolewhere you mustbe ableto lead significant operational activities within a highly commercial environment.
- Reporting to the Managing Director, youwill lead ahighly critical facility in the North West ata time ofmajor change andwhere there are significant obligertiesto maximise.
- As such, thisrole will befocused on best practice operational excellence, embedding continuous improvement with an emphasis on output, customer excellence,quality, compliance, health & safety, efficiency and lean improvementsamongstothers.
- You will havefull accountability forall day-to-day and strategic operational activities including manufacturing,warehousing, engineering and logistics, witha significant focus on improved methods and processes in all areas.
- You will define operational policy, leadall operational planning activities and developa truly measurable continuous improvement culture. You will be expected to leadthe organisation towards best in class, in order tomeet the company finance performance criteria.
- You will drive measurable improvements across key operational metrics including OEE, OTIF, Right First Time, waste reduction, labour productivity, asset utilisation and KPIperformance.
- To formulate and implement plans todevelop an effective operational structure anddirect, coach, trainand motivate teams towards the establishment of a continuous improvement environment.
- To drive people engagement, creating a culture of communication, trust, accountability and involvement at all levels, toensure a high-performing best practice environment.
- To implement asophisticated change and development programme interms of systems, processes, people and innovation.
- You will ensure world-class quality and compliance standards are maintained, meeting regulatory requirements and exceeding customer expectations.
- This unique position demands an exceptionalindividualwho enjoys agrowth environment, substantial autonomy and ahighly visible operational role together witha focus onchange management.
- Of graduate calibreor degree qualifiedinan appropriate discipline, you will havean outstanding track record in manufacturing/operational management gained within abest-in-class manufacturing environment and possibly withina highly regulated industry.
- With medium tohigh volume experience, you will understand the demands ofrunning a complex manufacturing facility in a highly customer-centric environment, whereyou will havethe ability to identify opportunities and know howto turn theminto a commercial reality.
- As such, relevant sector experience could include;packaging, labels, foodand drink, pharmaceutical manufacturing, life science manufacturing, beauty and personal care/FMCGetc.
