About The Role
As Quality Manager
, you will lead and develop the site quality team, ensuring that all products manufactured in our Edinburgh bakery are consistently safe, legal, and meet both internal standards and external customer specifications. You will play a key role in driving a strong quality culture across the site, embedding best practices and maintaining compliance at all times.
Working closely with the Technical Manager, you will support site-wide quality initiatives and collaborate with the operations team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. A core part of your role will be to guide the development and implementation of robust corrective action plans, ensuring that quality issues are effectively addressed and sustainable improvements are delivered.
Main Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with BRC standards, as well as all customer requirements and partnership codes of practice and specifications
• Participate in site (bakery) visits and lead or support internal and external audits
• Manage, coach and develop the site Quality Team, driving high performance and engagement
• Maintain and continuously improve site quality procedures and SOPs, in alignment with the Quality Systems Manager
• Act as a key customer-facing representative during audits, visits and review meetings
• Promote and embed a strong quality culture across the manufacturing site, working closely with the Technical Manager and wider teams to drive continuous improvement
• Support the delivery of site Technical KPIs, ensuring performance targets are achieved
• Lead the development and implementation of robust corrective action plans to address customer or consumer concerns and prevent recurrence
