Location: City of Edinburgh
Working closely with and being directed by the Manager this role will develop, plan, deliver, monitor, report and grow the construction sector activities in Scotland. As a key contact in this specialist area, the role will be specifically responsible for managing stakeholder engagement by providing expert advice and support to key stakeholders and, inputting into programme development.
This role will also contribute directly to the development of Circular Construction Hub business models and the upscaling strategies as part of Zero Waste Scotland's contribution to the Horizon Europe funded Cir Co Fin project.
You Will- Work closely with the wider Circular Economy Delivery team as part of the Sectors department, to support the delivery of current Zero Waste Scotland outcome targets and business plan targeting high impact sectors of the economy.
- Lead on a range of specialist engagement activities to support existing partnerships, and develop and maintain new strategic relationships. This will involve providing support to, and securing commitment from, stakeholders/customers/partners across the public, private and third sectors.
- Carry out business case development activities to support the development of new circular economy business models. This will include carrying out strategic market analysis, working to UK Treasury Green Book standards where required, contributing to the development of due diligence checklists and investment-readiness documentation, and supporting internal and external reporting and risk mitigation planning.
- Support strategic opportunities for partnerships and engagement with circular economy businesses and initiatives in the built environment sector, as well as in related sectors of the economy including energy infrastructure and clean heat.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities across projects, including accurate organisational reporting, and proactively identify, manage and escalation risks through defined risk management processes.
