Location: City of Edinburgh

Early Years Practitioner (Gaelic Medium)

Location:

Sgoil raich Taobh na Pirce, Bun‑sgoil Taobh na Pirce (Edinburgh, Scotland). Salary: £29,173 - £33,287 (pro‑rata for term‑time working).

Hours:

36 per week (39 weeks sessional).

Working hours:

8:15‑16:30 (13:15 on Fridays).

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant Gaelic Medium Nursery, where Gaelic culture, music and song are celebrated to foster a love of learning through an immersive language experience.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire young minds and create engaging, playful learning environments.
  • Support children in their Gaelic language journey.
  • Promote bilingualism and make a lasting impact on learners.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Required qualification and experience for the post (refer to attached documentation).
  • Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • Preferred candidate will join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • An overseas criminal record check required for any continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years.
  • Pre‑employment checks (PVG and criminal record) must be deemed satisfactory for an unconditional offer of employment and commencement.
