North London | Industry: Building and construction | Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
Our client is a well-established specialist subcontractor operating across London, delivering complex structural alteration packages to major main contractors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in North London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor looking to develop within a technically strong and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assisting with cost management and commercial reporting across live projects
- Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment
- Managing variations and change control processes
- Assisting with cost forecasting and CVR reporting
- Liaising with site teams and main contractor commercial teams
- Supporting final account negotiations
- Experience as an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
- Ideally from a main contractor background
- Experience working on structural alterations beneficial but not essential
- Strong understanding of commercial processes and subcontractor management
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Organised and capable of managing multiple packages
- Degree qualified or working towards a Quantity Surveying qualification preferred
