Freelance Site Manager with Tier 1 Contractor in Edinburgh

Your new company is a well‑established and reputable main contractor with a strong presence across Scotland. We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to support the delivery of a key education project at Currie High School in Edinburgh. The business has an excellent track record in delivering high‑quality construction and landscaping works across both public and private sectors.

You will join a live project, overseeing both hard and soft landscaping packages. Your responsibilities include supervision of subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards. The role is scheduled to commence at the beginning of June and is expected to run for a minimum of 12 weeks.

• Site coordination
• Health & safety compliance
• Progress reporting
• Maintaining strong communication with the wider project team

• Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within landscaping or external works packages
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Confidence in managing subcontractors and maintaining high HSEQ standards
• Willingness to undergo Disclosure Scotland clearance prior to starting

• Minimum 12‑week freelance assignment with a respected contractor on a well‑run project
