We’re growing our Edinburgh team and looking for a Building Surveyor who wants real responsibility, variety and the opportunity to shape their own career. You’ll work across a wide range of commercial projects—from technical due diligence and defects analysis through to project delivery—while building strong client relationships and developing your expertise across multiple service lines.
Main responsibilities- Deliver building surveying instructions including dilapidations, defects, due diligence and project work
- Take ownership of your projects from start to finish—managing delivery, priorities and client expectations
- Build strong client relationships and provide clear, practical, commercially focused advice
- Manage project delivery and produce high-quality reports and outputs
- Support business development and contribute to growing client relationships
- Take responsibility for project performance, including fees, WIP and invoicing
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines as part of our ‘one team’ culture
- MRICS qualified (or equivalent) with commercial building surveying experience
- Confident managing your own workload and delivering projects independently
- Client-focused, with strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of fees and project performance
- Proactive, organised and keen to develop your career
