Associate Building Surveyor - Edinburgh

Salary: £70,000+ DOE

Permanent | Full-time | Hybrid/Flexible Working

The role

A well-established, award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy with over 50 years in the industry are looking to bring an Associate Building Surveyor into their Edinburgh office, joining a growing team with a strong pipeline of public and private sector work.

This is a senior, client-facing role with real breadth. You'll lead on building surveys, condition reports, party wall, dilapidations and complex defect analysis, while also taking ownership of technical design work including drawn construction information. Business development and direct client liaison are a core part of the position, as is mentoring and developing junior surveyors within the team.

Sitting within a wider multi-discipline practice alongside architects, engineers, planners and quantity surveyors, the quality and variety of work on offer here is a genuine differentiator.

What you’ll need

MRICS qualified with solid post‑qualification experience across professional and project building surveying. You'll be confident leading technically complex instructions, managing client relationships, and contributing to the wider growth of the team. Strong building pathology knowledge across a range of building types is essential.

What’s on offer

£70,000+ depending on experience, hybrid and flexible working, private healthcare, enhanced pension, enhanced sick pay including long‑term sickness insurance, access to independent financial advice, and 24/7 employee assistance. Genuine progression opportunities within a consultancy that continues to grow.

Apply below, or call Finn Luckie on for a confidential conversation. If the timing isn’t right or this isn’t quite the right level, get in touch anyway – we work across a range of surveying roles and would be happy to help.
