This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to take ownership of complex, high-value schemes across sectors including education, residential, infrastructure, and public sector developments. You will play a central role in driving project success, influencing commercial outcomes, and strengthening our presence in the local market.

Your role

We are looking for a confident and capable individual who combines technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and a proactive, leadership-led approach. You will:

  • Lead the commercial delivery of major projects, ensuring strong cost control, risk management, and performance outcomes.
  • Take ownership of key project relationships, engaging effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership teams.
  • Provide clear, structured reporting on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, supporting capability growth and fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Drive best practice in commercial management across multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the business as part of a regional practice covering Scotland and Northern Ireland.
About you
  • Degree qualified (BSc) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Ideally Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership.
  • Strong experience across pre- and post-contract duties.
  • Proven track record delivering complex projects within a consultancy or client environment.
  • Working knowledge of SBCC/JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Solid understanding of NRM and cost planning methodologies.
  • Digitally literate and adaptable to using different software interfaces, use of Microsoft suite of application, PowerBI etc.
  • A proactive, driven individual with the confidence to lead, influence, and deliver.
Your Impact Beyond the Role
  • People Leadership – through mentoring and coaching.
  • Business Development – supporting bids, strengthening client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Technical Leadership – sharing knowledge, driving standards, and promoting best practice.
