A leading Tier 1 construction contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Scotland is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a commitment to excellence, they are currently delivering a £12m new-build development in Edinburgh and require a driven construction professional to play a key role in its successful delivery.

Your new role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage site teams, oversee health and safety compliance, and drive programme performance throughout the construction phase.

Key duties will include:

Managing all site activities on a major new-build construction project
Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety regulations and company procedures
Coordinating and managing subcontractors and direct labour
Monitoring programme milestones and driving progress on site
Conducting quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification
Liaising with clients, consultants, and the wider project team
Producing site reports and maintaining project documentation
Supporting the successful completion and handover of the project
What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale construction projects
Previous experience delivering new-build projects from inception through to completion
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation and site management procedures
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
A stable track record working with principal or main contractors
Ability to drive programme performance while maintaining quality standards
