Community Growth Lead – Flavours Holidays

Location: Edinburgh (office-based)

Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 per year pro rata+ performance bonus linked to community growth

About Flavours

For over 25 years, Flavours Holidays has been creating award-winning small group holidays in Italy, Spain, Morocco and Scotland.

Our guests are mostly over 50, many travelling solo. They come for the cooking, painting, Pilates or culture — and return because they feel part of something. Friendships form. Confidence grows. People belong.

We are not just a travel company. We are a community.

Why This Role Matters

Our community grows through conversation.

It grows because someone takes the time to call a prospective guest who requested a brochure.

Because someone reconnects with a past traveller and asks, "Where next?"

Because someone listens carefully when a guest feels hesitant and helps them feel ready.

The Role

We’re looking for a Community Growth Lead to guide both prospective and returning guests on their Flavours journey.

This is a proactive, phone-based role. You’ll spend much of your day speaking with people — welcoming new enquiries, following up after events or webinars, and reconnecting with past travellers.

You will typically make up to 40–50 outbound calls per day to prospective guests and members of our existing community. These are warm, thoughtful conversations — not high‑pressure selling — but they do require confidence, consistency and resilience.

If you enjoy speaking to people all day and believe meaningful relationships can begin with a simple phone call, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Do
  • Call prospective guests who have requested brochures or attended events, helping them choose the right holiday.
  • Reconnect with past travellers to inspire repeat bookings.
  • Follow up after holidays, classes and webinars to guide guests towards their next step.
  • Encourage referrals and loyalty membership.
  • Maintain accurate records in our CRM so every guest feels remembered.
  • Work towards clear weekly booking and community growth targets.

Community at Flavours doesn’t grow by accident — it grows through consistent daily outreach and genuine care.

How Success Is Measured

Success in this role looks like:

  • Maintaining a steady rhythm of proactive calls and follow‑ups.
  • Converting warm conversations into bookings.
  • Supporting guests from first enquiry to first holiday.
  • Encouraging returning guests to deepen their connection.
  • Contributing to overall community growth and revenue targets.

We measure activity and outcomes — but relationships always come first.

About You

This role may suit someone returning to work after a career break, or someone looking for meaningful part‑time work in a values‑led business.

You might have worked in travel, recruitment, fundraising, hospitality, membership, events, estate agency, or another relationship‑focused role.

What matters most:
  • You genuinely enjoy speaking to people.
  • You’re confident guiding conversations towards a decision.
  • You’re comfortable making a high number of proactive calls each day.
  • You understand that consistency builds momentum.
  • You’re resilient and not discouraged by a "not right now."
  • You bring warmth, good judgement and emotional intelligence.
  • You believe in long‑term relationships, not hard selling.
  • You’re organised and comfortable using a CRM system (training provided).

If you prefer purely creative, marketing or behind‑the‑scenes work, this may not be the right role. This is a conversation‑led position.

Working Pattern

This role is based in our Edinburgh office.

Our opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm, and part‑time patterns will be agreed within these hours.

We offer a structured, supportive environment with clear expectations and strong team culture.

Why Join Us?

At Flavours, you’re not just helping people book holidays.

You’re helping someone take their first solo trip.

You’re reconnecting friends who met on a previous week.

You’re building something that lasts beyond travel.

Every conversation is an invitation into our community.

If this feels like work you would take pride in, we would love to hear from you.
