Job Summary

Lovely established independent Travel Agency based in Edinburgh are seeking a Travel Agent to join their friendly team. As a Travel Consultant here, you will sell a wide variety of holidays quoting from a range of Tour Operators, a bit different from standard high‑street travel agents.

• Valuing the customer experience and building rapport with them whether in store, on the phone or via email, ensuring exceptional service through the entire booking process.
• Taking enquiries and quoting on a wide variety of itineraries to fulfil clients' aspirations.
• Handling diverse enquiries covering packages, cruises, long‑haul, city breaks, luxury, multi‑centre, escorted tours and solo holidays, whatever the customer requires.
• Making suggestions to enhance the booking and the customer’s holiday experience.
• Using comprehensive destination knowledge to assist customers.
• Selling a range of Tour Operators, providing clients with choice and personalising their holiday experience.
• Using personalities and sales skills to close bookings and strive for repeat business.

Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm, no weekends.

• Experience as a Travel Advisor within a retail travel environment.
• Knowledge of worldwide destinations and travel products.
• Sales and customer service skills.

Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus incentives, discounts and company bonus.
