Role PurposeCoordinate wheelchair and cart services between the Client and employees, ensuring all data is recorded according to company procedures.
Responsibilities- Familiarize with and abide by all Client/company regulations.
- Work with Client Special Services Representatives to ensure all requests for services are met.
- Escalate issues to Operations Manager immediately.
- Communicate and interact courteously and tactfully with fellow employees and passengers if necessary.
- Maintain all service transactions in wheelchair tracking program (Watershed and Excel) format.
- Receive and respond to telephone and radio calls from Client representatives and employees in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain and distribute tablets and radios.
- Complete all documentation and reports in thorough and timely manner.
- Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
- Provide general information and directions to passengers.
- Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner.
- Attend meetings and in services as required.
- Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives.
- Utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost‑effective manner.
- Perform other duties as requested.
You will have a responsibility and duty while at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. Qualifications- Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of experience as a dispatcher.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Pass pre‑employment drug screen and all other pre‑employment testing.
- Proficient reading, writing and speaking in English.
- Comfortable lifting 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma, GED or six months’ experience as an Operations Agent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
- Competent in handling difficult situations.
