• Registered and have a Licence to Practice with the General Dental Council (GDC).
• Completed four years full‑time postgraduate training (or equivalent) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the relevant specialty.
• Alternatively have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.

We are seeking a fixed‑term Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery to fill a total of 5 sessions for 6 months at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. Flexibility in relation to the sessions or job share will be considered. Internal applicants and secondments are welcome.

The post holder will work 5 PAs with the days of work to be agreed with the professional lead, clinical director and services manager. The post is based at the Edinburgh Dental Institute.

The post holder will be responsible to Laura Bryce, Professional Lead in Oral Surgery and the Clinical Director Susan Baines, Edinburgh Dental Institute and will work with colleagues within Oral Surgery and the wider Dental Institute.

Appropriately experienced applicants must have full registration with the General Dental Council and have completed at least four years full‑time postgraduate training with demonstrable experience of supporting patients with oral surgery problems.
