Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Architect Project Lead role based in Edinburgh. The Architect Project Lead will oversee the delivery of architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring design quality, technical coordination, and compliance with regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project teams, managing client relationships, developing and reviewing design proposals, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. The role involves preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, managing project timelines and resources, and monitoring project risks and progress against agreed milestones.

The Architect Project Lead will also support design reviews, contribute to continuous improvement of processes, and help mentor less experienced team members within the studio.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience delivering projects across multiple stages (concept to construction).
  • Proven Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, budget awareness, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in Integration of design and technical systems, coordinating inputs from consultants and ensuring coherent, buildable solutions.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., BIM/Revit, CAD, visualization software) and openness to collaborating with Software Development teams when needed.
  • Accredited architectural qualification and professional registration (or eligibility) in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction methodologies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage directly with clients.
  • Commitment to sustainable design, inclusive environments, and the values of a B Corp and employee-owned practice.
