Architectural Technician

Edinburgh

Up to £40,000

Are you an experienced Architectural Technician looking to join a forward-thinking practice? My client is seeking a technically focused Architectural Technician to join their growing team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of commercial projects, collaborating with a talented team while delivering high-quality technical solutions across all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities for this Architectural Technician role:

Deliver projects across all RIBA stages with a strong technical focus.
Produce high-quality technical drawings, detailing and construction information.
Develop, coordinate and manage Revit models throughout project delivery.
Coordinate with architects, consultants and the wider project team.
Support the successful delivery of projects through effective planning and organisation.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.
Ensure projects comply with UK Building Regulations and industry best practice.
Manage your own workload to meet project deadlines.
Attend site visits and travel throughout the UK to support project delivery where required.

Requirements for this Architectural Technician role:

HNC, HND or Degree in Architectural Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience delivering Commercial projects within the UK.
Proficiency in Revit is essential.
Experience working within BIM environments.
Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing and Building Regulations.
Good understanding of the UK planning and construction process.
Comfortable working in a client-facing role.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK when required.
