The AtkinsRéalis Landscape Practice is an award‑winning leading UK‑based design Practice, delivering excellence in all we do. Our diverse, highly skilled and passionate designers believe, that good design can positively transform people's lives. Our practice wide team of 80 Landscape Architects work throughout the UK and internationally.

Our expertise ranges across all key sectors of the built environment:
Green and Blue Infrastructure, flood alleviation, master planning, education, aviation, commercial, defence, active travel, transport, urban regeneration, retrofit and residential providing integrated nature‑based solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.

We have a strong pipeline of work as a national landscape practice across all sectors, and we are looking to recruit Landscape Architects to grow our team specifically in our Scotland region. We have a vacancy based in our Edinburgh office.

You will have the opportunity to take an active role on a large variety of challenging design projects. You will collaborate with multi‑disciplinary design teams, using your insight and creativity to generate positive, sustainable, impactful designs.

We're looking for a skilled and passionate Chartered Landscape Architect to with an excellent track record in design. The role offers a wide variety of experience and provides an excellent opportunity for career progression.

• Working within a multidisciplinary environment.

• Landscape Design, supporting projects from feasibility through to detail design.

• An understanding of the principles of SuDS.

• Ability to write report, assist with contract documentation and site supervision.

• Technical knowledge, high‑quality presentation and communication skills.

• An understanding of project coordination and the financial management of projects.

• Input into work-winning activities and fee proposals.

• Provision of landscape advice to external and internal clients.

• Support and mentoring of junior staff.

• Familiarity with working in a quality assurance environment (desirable).

• Good proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe software packages with a passion to explore the use of Revit, Sketch up and Enscape as design tools and for presentational outputs.

• Experience and an understanding of BIM and Revit (desirable).

• Communication through hand drawing is also invaluable.

• Good communication skills, fluency in English, with ability to draft reports to a high standard.

• The ability to work under pressure and have proven success in meeting tight deadlines.

• A confident team worker, able to work with limited supervision.

• The opportunity requires candidates to work both locally and within our national business to win and deliver work. Therefore, there will be a requirement for flexibility in respect of travel and location based on project demands.

• Applicants should hold a full valid driving licence and must live within a reasonable travelling distance to our Edinburgh offices. Site visits across the region will be required.

• A relevant landscape degree. At least two years' post Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) and post chartership experience in a Landscape role.

• Proven experience in technical delivery of all RIBA stages.
