About the School of PsychologyThe School of Psychology at UNSW is the leading psychology school in Australia. It offers world class undergraduate psychology degrees, postgraduate professional Masters training in Clinical, Neuropsychology, Forensic Psychology, an online Graduate Diploma program, and a PhD research program with over 120 students. 40 academic staff conduct experimental research in many areas of psychology, including behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, perception, learning, memory and cognition, and health, social, developmental, clinical and forensic psychology.
UNSW Psychology is the only School in the southern hemisphere ranked in the top 30 by discipline in the THES, QS and ARWU rankings.

Role Overview- Level D ($185 K – $204 K) Level E ($237 K) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Continuing.
- Full‑time (35 hours per week).
The role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reports.
Specific Responsibilities (Level D)- Apply a well‑defined teaching philosophy and a critically reflective teaching practice that inspires student learning and cultivates a positive attitude towards teaching in the domain of neuropsychology.
- Provide leadership in the progressive review, development and ongoing delivery of the Masters Clinical Neuropsychology (MCN) program and neuropsychology teaching within the Masters Clinical Psychology program.
- Manage curriculum administration as Program and Course authority for the MCN, including academic quality assurance as required.
- Engage in peer review and disseminate best‑practice in education.
- Conduct classes, assess student learning achievements, and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy as an exemplar for others.
- Design and develop learning activities and resources and provide assessment and feedback at course and program level using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
- Contribute to support strategies for learning progression that enable positive outcomes for students.
- Work collaboratively to attract internal and external education funding opportunities.
- Make a positive contribution by leading School and Faculty meetings and seminars and be a member of School, Faculty and University committees as required.
- Provide administrative leadership at School and/or University level, including coordination of courses, departmental and/or faculty meetings, open days and student recruitment activities.
- Work collaboratively with peers across the school, faculty and UNSW and contribute to national dialogues in teaching and learning, advancing cooperation, developing partnerships and informing practice.
- Engage with academic, professional, and international organisations relevant to the objectives of the School and Faculty.
- Carry out original/innovative research, actively contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of clinical neuropsychology, including making contributions to the discipline that are recognised at a national level with emerging international impact.
- Undertake independent research in clinical neuropsychology and through professional practice and expertise, make an independent contribution that expands knowledge or practice in clinical neuropsychology.
- Establish a distinguished program of research at UNSW and build research groups in area of specialist expertise within clinical neuropsychology.
