WhyThis Role Matters
The Program Manager is critical to the success of CIEE Edinburgh. Working directly with the Center Director, this role is central to the day‑to‑day operation of the centre and to the student experience. From student wellbeing and housing to activities, orientation, and health and safety, the Program Manager ensures our students are supported, engaged, and safe — creating an environment where they can thrive academically and personally.
The RoleAs Program Manager, you will lead the coordination and quality assurance of student services, co‑curricular programming, and residential life. You will be the primary point of contact for students and play a key role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and enriching study abroad experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising and supporting students, including wellbeing and conduct matters
- Designing and delivering orientation, activities, excursions, and experiential learning opportunities
- Overseeing student housing and maintaining strong relationships with providers
- Ensuring robust health, safety, and emergency protocols
- Supporting academic administration and custom programmes
- Managing local marketing initiatives and social media
- Assisting with budgets, reporting, and seasonal staff supervision
We’re seeking a proactive, student‑focused professional with a passion for international education. You’ll be highly organised, adaptable, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond calmly to emerging situations are essential.
You should bring:
- Experience working with students or young adults
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational and administrative capability
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and support student trips
- Good knowledge of Edinburgh and Scotland (desirable)
