Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant x3
Salary: £14,007 - £14,422 pro rata (FTE £25,150 - £25,894)
Location: Multiple sites
Hours and Weeks per Year: 24 hours a week / 38 weeks per year

We have various roles across Maths / English and ESOL departments you will be based at our Waterfront and Pioneer centres and your focus will be working with adult learners and apprentices with SEND to improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
Responsibilities- Planning, preparing and delivering group learning activities both within and outside of the classroom with input from tutors.
- Identifying individual SEND needs through initial assessments and completing inclusion plans for others to follow.
- Ideally, you'll have a Teaching Assistant qualification or be willing to work towards one and have previous experience of working in a post-16 environment with learners with additional learning needs.
- Essential: minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Strong communication skills, ability to encourage high aspirations, flexibility to manage change, and ability to work with other areas of the college to support a whole college SEND approach.

You will need to be flexible around our 38 week curriculum and classroom delivery times: 8.30am - 9pm. Due to the nature of our work, you're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Pay and Start Date InformationStaff who start mid Academic year will have their initial salary payments calculated based on actual weeks worked and the number of pay dates between the beginning of employment and the end of the current academic year.
