Overview

Early Years Officer, Oxgangs Primary School. This post is 28 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (sessional).

Job Details

Salary: £34,452 - £40,501 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours:

28 per week, 39 week sessional

Working pattern:
Monday, Tuesday 7.45am–4.15pm;
Thursday 7.45am–15:45pm;
Friday 7.45am–12.15pm

About the School

Oxgangs Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the Colinton Mains, Craiglockhart and Firrhill areas of South Edinburgh.

Responsibilities
  • Join the nursery team to provide early years childcare for pupils aged 2 to 5 years old.
  • Contribute to creating a caring and stimulating environment for young children and their parents/carers.
Requirements
  • This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
  • Unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both pre-employment checks.
