South West/ temporary / £145 - 230 per day
Role OverviewTeacher Active is proud to be working with a specialist education provision in Frome that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition. The school promotes a nurturing and structured environment, focusing on sensory support, communication development and helping pupils to feel safe, understood and able to achieve their full potential. We are looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full‑time, long‑term basis until the end of the academic year.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils who have ASD, sensory needs, and some who are non‑verbal, requiring strong behaviour management, adaptability and a calm, consistent approach.
Qualifications- QTS
- Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASD and sensory needs
- Experience supporting non‑verbal pupils and managing challenging behaviour
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
