Pupil Support Leader – Fixed term until 29/06/2027
Craigroyston Community High School
Salary: £62,265 per year
Hours: 35 per week
- Lead the Pupil Support department with other Pupil Support Leaders, ensuring high quality pupil support to maximise attainment and support for all pupils.
- Take a joint lead role in managing the Pupil Support department.
- Be forward thinking and innovative in leading, managing and delivering the most appropriate PSE/HWB courses to all levels of ability at all stages in the school.
- Develop, implement and monitor effective pupil support policies and procedures within the school.
- Keep up to date with current theories and practice relating to effective support and inclusive classroom teaching.
- Ensure appropriate implementation occurs within these departments as they focus on school, Children and Families and National priorities.
- Undertake duties outlined for all teachers as set out in Annex B of ‘A Teaching Profession for the 21st Century’.
- Experience in pupil support or similar roles.
- Understanding of PSE/HWB programmes.
- Knowledge of effective pupil support policies and inclusive classroom teaching.
- Commitment to the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 – candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years.
