Pupil Support Officer – Fixed term until 25/06/2027 – Craigroyston Primary School

Salary: £30,188 – £34,452;

Hours:

36 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Craigroyston Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced candidate to join our team on a temporary part‑time basis. We welcome applications from those with a proven track record of supporting families and nurturing learners. The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships resulting in inclusion for all is essential. • Work collaboratively within all education establishments to help pupils meet their educational, care and welfare needs, ensuring those with intensive and complex and/or high level of language support needs can effectively access the curriculum.
• Support the development and delivery of individual, group and whole‑school approaches and programmes in one or more specialist areas, including bilingual support, attendance, care‑experienced, de‑escalation and neurodiversity.
• Provide flexible support and assistance in the day‑to‑day operations of the school as directed by the leadership team.
• Provide high‑level support for pupils with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs, including dysregulated behaviour.

• Enthusiastic and experienced professional with a proven track record of supporting families and nurturing learners.
• Experience establishing and maintaining positive relationships with learners and families to promote inclusive education.
• Experience or ability to support specialist areas such as bilingual support, attendance, care‑experienced, de‑escalation, neurodiversity.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including willingness to join or update the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and provide an overseas criminal record check if required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse staff team.
