Teachers Main to Upper Payscale (Fringe - £34,398 to £52,490 plus SEN Point)

Hopescourt School is an all‑through special school within the Bourne Education Trust, supporting children with autism and related communication and interaction needs. The school recently moved into a purpose‑built facility on Waterside Drive, Walton‑on‑Thames, featuring flexible classrooms, therapy spaces and communal areas for independence, collaboration and wellbeing.
The RoleAs a SEND Class Teacher you will be responsible for the learning, progress and wellbeing of pupils within your class. You will deliver high‑quality teaching, adapt the curriculum and approaches to meet a wide range of needs, and work closely with specialist staff to ensure pupils can access learning and make progress.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the curriculum to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
- Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class(es), planning effectively to ensure pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential.
- Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, plan effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and work in collaboration with the SENDCo to contribute to the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements.
- Demonstrate awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
