Pupil Support Assistant — Tynecastle High School

Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro-rata for sessional and part time)

Hours:

27.5 per week, 39 weeks per year (sessional)

Monday to Friday

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils who require additional assistance in the classroom.
• Support the integration of pupils with a wide range of needs and abilities into the curriculum.
• Foster a welcoming, warm atmosphere with respectful relationships that underpin purposeful learning.
• Contribute to pastoral care and pupil welfare in line with school policies.

• Experience in supporting pupils with diverse needs in an educational setting is desirable.
• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults; the preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo PVG Scheme update checks.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if applicable; provide any required checks prior to employment.
• Ability to read and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
