Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales, known for high‑quality teaching and learning. The college operates across six campuses in Swansea, supporting over 4,500 full‑time and 10,000 part‑time learners, and employing more than 1,000 staff.

• Support learners to achieve their goals, ensuring they are fully supported to succeed in their studies and develop essential academic and personal skills.
• Effectively address learner issues related to attendance, punctuality, motivation, and attitude, promoting a positive and caring culture.
• Deliver the A Level tutorial programme to full tutor groups.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one sessions with learners, focusing on targets, goals, and necessary support.
• Proactively work with learners to improve attendance, retention, and attainment, addressing behaviour issues and ensuring timely referral and communication with lecturers, Learning Area Managers, and support teams.

• Hold or be working toward a degree or level 4 qualification and have at least five GCSEs Grade C or equivalent; prepared to work toward a peer‑mentoring qualification.
• Excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills, ability to work flexibly under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
• Experience teaching or working with young people, arranging activities, and presenting.
• IT literacy and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
• Flexible to work across different college sites and on occasional weekends and evenings when necessary.
