About the Role
Trigon Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading National Training Provider, rated Good (Grade
2) by Ofsted.
We are seeking an engaging and motivated Employability Tutor to deliver a short-term employability programme in Central Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trainer who is passionate about helping individuals develop the confidence, skills, and knowledge needed to move into sustainable employment.
Over the three-week programme, you will deliver interactive workshops and provide one-to-one support, equipping learners with practical job-search skills, digital confidence, and the tools required to succeed in today's job market.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging non-accredited employability and digital skills training to groups of learners.
Provide basic IT support, including setting up email accounts, using attachments, navigating online platforms, and accessing job search websites.
Support learners with CV writing, cover letters, job applications, and interview preparation.
Encourage and motivate learners to actively apply for suitable employment opportunities.
Deliver a combination of group workshops and individual 1:1 coaching sessions tailored to learners' needs.
Set realistic learner goals and monitor progress throughout the programme using the company's database.
Create an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment that promotes confidence and progression.
Ensure all learner records and documentation are completed accurately and on time. Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience delivering employability, adult learning, or skills-based training.
Strong IT skills with confidence in teaching learners basic digital skills.
Experience supporting individuals with CV development, job searching, and interview techniques.
Ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds and ability levels.
Confident delivering both group training sessions and one-to-one coaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage learner progress effectively.
A genuine passion for supporting people into employment.
Availability to commit to the full three-week programme commencing 14th September 2026. What's in it for You?
