Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
SL3 Area Primary School Setting
ASAP / September Start £90 - £110
Supply Desk is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in the SL3 area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children s learning and development in a nurturing school environment.
This role would suit an engaging and reliable individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the classroom, providing both group and one-to-one support to pupils.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
- Assisting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping to deliver engaging and structured lessons
- Supporting children with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Assisting with classroom preparation and resource management
- Supporting pupils social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Experience supporting children with SEN
- Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Little Wandle)
- Understanding of safeguarding and school procedures
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare
