The Department of Visual & Performing Arts at Edinburgh College offers an inspiring and inclusive creative learning environment, delivering programmes across Art & Design, Performing Arts and Photography. The primary function is to support the work of Lecturers in ensuring that learners receive high-quality support and their individual requirements are met. Learning Assistants also ensure that learning environments, materials and equipment are effectively maintained and appropriately recorded. This is a key role within the team, providing practical, technical and digital support to teaching staff and students across Art and Design studio environments and Mac Labs, helping learners to develop their skills, confidence and independence.
