We're looking for a talented Energy Manager to support a prestigious multi-site property portfolio across Scotland. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll have the freedom to manage your own diary, work closely with stakeholders and drive meaningful reductions in energy consumption and carbon emissions.
This is a hybrid role, travelling to client sites approx. 3 times a week. Sites are predominantly based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but some travel within the wider Scotland area is possible.
The RoleAs Energy Manager, you'll play a leading role in identifying, developing, implementing and reporting on energy‑saving initiatives across a diverse estate of office and retail locations throughout Scotland. You'll work closely with engineering teams, contractors and client stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in energy performance and support ambitious sustainability targets.
Key responsibilities will include:- Identifying and delivering energy and carbon reduction opportunities
- Conducting energy surveys and audits across multiple sites
- Developing Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) with supporting ROI and business cases
- Analysing utility consumption, energy data and performance trends
- Supporting the implementation of energy efficiency projects
- Providing technical guidance on HVAC, BMS, lighting and control systems
- Developing feasibility studies for energy reduction and generation projects
- Engaging with stakeholders to promote best practice in energy management
- Monitoring and reporting on energy‑saving performance against agreed targets
We're looking for someone who can operate independently and bring proven energy management experience within a complex, multi‑site environment.
You will ideally have:- Significant experience in an Energy Manager or similar position
- Strong knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, BMS, lighting and controls
- A track record of delivering successful energy‑saving projects
- Experience developing business cases and calculating ROI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret energy and utility data
- Experience using Monitoring & Targeting (M&T) software
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within facilities management, property, estates or corporate environments
- A degree (or equivalent) in Energy, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline is advantageous
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
