We are looking for talented Hydraulic Modellers to join our Water Catchment Management business, supporting major frameworks with leading water companies and delivering some of the largest Flood Risk Management frameworks ever seen.

Remit and responsibilities include:

  • Hydraulic modelling using industry standard software (Flood Modeller, Tuflow, Info Works, HEC‑RAS) for model development, calibration, interpretation, and interrogation of 1D and 1D/2D models.
  • Analyzing, managing, and interpreting data using GIS software (ArcGIS, Map Info, QGIS) and analytical tools (R and Python).
  • Contributing innovative ideas, challenging the norm, and helping deliver better solutions for clients.
  • Collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver client outcomes.
  • Writing, developing, and reviewing complex technical reports.
  • Supporting a team environment with mentoring and professional development.
  • Peer review and checking of calculations and technical deliverables.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree/MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Keen to achieve or already chartered status with an appropriate Professional Body (preferably ICE or CIWEM).
  • Experience in implementing 1D and 2D modelling techniques for river, urban and coastal flooding applications.
  • Sound knowledge of industry standard software such as Flood Modeller and Tuflow (Info Works ICM) for model development, calibration, interpretation and interrogation.
  • Experience with technical assurance of modelling outputs.
  • Demonstrable experience of hydrological calculations.
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and peers, supporting personal, skills and career development.
