We are looking for graduates for our Building Specialists teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. We want you to enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can apply your skills working for a diverse range of clients and projects.

- Fire Engineering:

Working as a Graduate in one of our Building Specialists teams will mean working on exciting and innovative projects. ProjectsOur teams work on prestigious assignments, and you will be helping to deliver projects such as:
- Monklands Replacement Hospital, Scotland
- Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle
- New Riverside Stand, Fulham FC
- Control Posts, Heathrow Airport
- Mayfield Republic
Our Fire Engineering team is involved in the development of the overall fire strategy for a building, which involves design of fire protection systems within buildings including means of escape, building layout, smoke control, sprinkler systems, reaction to fire of construction materials.
Day‑to‑day activities may include:
- Producing fire strategy reports for proposed and existing buildings.
- Writing technical design notes.
- Marking up architectural drawings to produce fire strategy plans.
- Reviewing existing documentation relating to the above.
- Attending design team meetings and site visits.
- Responding to fire‑related queries from other disciplines.
The Security Consulting team designs and implements solutions that protect people, property and infrastructure from physical threats.
Day‑to‑day activities may include:
- Assisting with the development of security strategies.
- Assisting with threat, vulnerability risk assessments.
- Developing security needs assessments.
- Assisting with vehicle dynamic assessments.
- Assisting with planning and specifying of physical measures such as doors, walls and windows.
- Conducting site assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Developing electronic security designs such as video surveillance and access control.
Degree backgrounds considered for Security Consulting are:
Terrorism and Security;
Politics, Security and International Studies;
International Relations and Politics;
International Security Studies;
Crime and Security Science; and Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Façade Engineering covers the design of building envelopes and incorporates structural, environmental, sustainability and other skills.
Day‑to‑day activities may include:
