Senior Structural Engineer – Edinburgh

First People Solutions is currently working with a high successful consulting engineer who have grown from a small UK business to a major international player, operating in key sectors including the built environment, energy, mining, technology, government and infrastructure.

You will join their Civil and Structural Engineering team, taking on a lead designer/checker role across a range of small to large-scale projects. The role involves contributing to proposal development, managing client expectations, and mentoring junior members within the team.

• Lead designer/checker on small to large-scale projects within the Civil and Structural Engineering team.
• Contribute to proposal development and management of client expectations.
• Mentor junior team members.

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Chartered status preferred or close to (IStruct
  
  E / ICE)
• 5+ years of experience delivering structural design projects within a UK design engineering environment
• Strong knowledge in key materials such as timber, steel, concrete, and masonry
• Confident in managing a team and projects
• Site inspection, structural assessment and report experience
• Full, clean UK driving licence
