Due to increasing workload, we are currently seeking a Building Surveyor in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office, assisting our established building surveying team. You will carry out the day-to-day duties of a Building Surveyor on allocated projects, assist the management team with the mentoring of junior staff and resource management, and work towards designated RICS APC route.
This role provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity to develop within a dynamic team working on a broad range of both professional and project related work for both public and private sector clients, supported by a medium-sized multi-professional consultancy.

And as a Building Surveyor with Bellrock, you’ll do it by…
- Measured surveys: preparation of floor plans, elevations, and details on AutoCAD (must be AutoCAD proficient).
- Building surveys: condition surveys, schedules of condition, defects diagnosis inspections, detailed measured surveys.
- Project building surveying: design including the preparation of AutoCAD drawings, preparation of statutory consent applications, preparation of tender documents, project monitoring and contract administration.
- Building pathology: identifying building defects and failures and developing solutions including advice on estimated costs and programme.
- Property management: preparation of planned maintenance programmes including elemental cost preparation.
- CDM services (desirable but not essential) preparation of pre-construction information and health and safety files.

Your knowledge, skills and qualifications:- Building Surveying BSc or BSc (Hons) degree (accredited by RICS) or working towards.
- Competency in using AutoCAD and measured survey (essential).
- Knowledge of refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings (essential).
- Relevant building surveying consultancy experience (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to progress your career with a leading consultancy.
- Full UK driving licence and have use of own vehicle.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in surveys, reports, and technical drawings.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive working environment.
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
