Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer

Location:

Edinburgh
Salary: £26,000-£31,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the design of foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks
  • Assisting with geotechnical calculations, including bearing capacity and settlement
  • Interpreting site investigation data to inform design decisions
  • Preparing technical calculations, drawings, and reports
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Attending site visits and inspections as required
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practice
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
  • Keen interest in geotechnical and ground engineering design
  • Understanding of soil mechanics and foundation design principles
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised, proactive approach to work
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
