I'm currently working with a well‑established and highly respected planning consultancy in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their planning career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

You will be involved in a wide variety of projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments. The role offers exposure to the full planning process—from early‑stage appraisals through to applications, appeals, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
• Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders
• Supporting senior colleagues on complex projects
• Contributing to business development and client relationships

• Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
• Working towards or already MRTPI qualified
• Previous experience in either consultancy or local authority
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
