Position: 248849 R1 (SNIS) CAD DIGITAL MANAGER

The Estates & Facilities Directorate propose to implement a new in-house team to prepare for delivery of the management of the existing Hard Facilities Management (FM) services at the RIE. This team will have oversight on all aspects of maintenance requirements including statutory and mandatory compliance. This will provide greater control and focus on operational oversight of the RIE and mitigate the risk of potential disruption during the transition period.

This position will oversee and manage all Digital AutoCAD systems at NHS Lothian pertaining to the Estates & Facilities Asset Maintenance and Infrastructure Department. This will range from all drawings related to the Building Engineering Services, Fire Engineering to Architectural drawings. The role will require an understanding and ability to plan and develop drawings / layouts in accordance with the relevant Stakeholder requirements.

The post holder will develop a technical library and provide ongoing management for drawings and plans stemming from Engineering and Infrastructure Project related works, including electrical, mechanical, architectural construction and As‑Built Drawings. The role is intricate for the successful delivery of all Statutory, Mandatory, Regulatory and NHS Lothian compliance for the Estates and Facilities Engineering Department.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
