What You'll Be Doing
  • Building, testing and debugging mechanical, electrical and robotic prototypes in our R&D lab
  • Diagnosing faults and leading root-cause analysis on test failures and quality issues
  • Operating and maintaining lab equipment — oscilloscopes, soldering stations, 3D printers, hand tools and more
  • Supporting the transition of R&D prototypes into scalable manufacturing processes
  • Documenting test results, build procedures and technical assets clearly and accurately
  • Assisting with sourcing and inventory management of R&D components and equipment
  • Collaborating with our cross-functional engineering teams, in UK and US

  • Confident reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and assembly instructions
  • Strong practical skills in mechanical and/or electrical assembly
  • Sharp troubleshooting ability and a keen eye for detail

  • Familiarity with robotics or automation, including sensors and motion control systems
  • Experience with pneumatic or mechanical actuation (grippers, actuators, etc.)
  • Proficiency in CAD software — Solid Works, Siemens NX or Fusion 360
  • Working knowledge of electronics, wiring and UK electrical safety regulations
  • Ability to understand and execute structured test plans
  • Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, food & beverage, etc.)
