Principal MEP BIM Coordinator
Locations:
Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh
As a BIM Coordinator on our MEP team, you will assist the design team in delivering mechanical and electrical solutions using Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and other digital deliverables. You will work to the latest BIM standards and the UK BIM Framework to ensure successful delivery across a wide range of sectors, including defence, commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, education, and leisure.
Responsibilities- Coordinate MEP models to ensure the building services design can be installed without major rerouting.
- Set up new Revit and CAD projects using company templates.
- Produce and amend models and drawings based on engineers' mark‑ups.
- Create schematics and link them to model data.
- Ensure files are stored in accordance with the company's QA procedures.
- Use built‑in interference checking tools and other software solutions to QA‑check models.
- Liaise with the BIM Manager to maintain industry and company specific standards.
- Ensure MEP models comply with project BIM requirements.
- Extensive working knowledge and experience of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Prior knowledge of MagiCAD, Navisworks and/or Solibri is beneficial.
- Experience working as part of an MEP team with a good understanding of building services installation; on‑site installation experience is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise confidently with design engineers.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- You will be required to attain security clearance to SC level and be able to work on MOD and scientific sector projects that also require security clearance.
