Salary: £45,000 to £62,000 (depending on experience)

The Chartered Structural Engineer will be client‑facing, working as a senior engineer on large framework contracts as well as a variety of other works. The role also offers the opportunity to progress to Regional Manager (Associate Engineer) quickly. The engineer will be chartered either by ICE or IStruct

- Work on a wide range of projects, including structural surveys and designs for residential, commercial and industrial properties, providing advice to the insurance sector and assisting with regional frameworks.
- Undertake technical and feasibility studies, including organising site investigations.
- Use a range of software to develop detailed structural designs as well as hand calculations.
- Liaise with clients and a variety of professionals, including contractors and architects.
- Prepare contract documents and manage tenders.
- Resolve design and development problems and manage budget and project resources.
- Provide supervision and support to ICE/IStructE candidates, promoting knowledge and understanding.
- MICE / MIStructE / FICE Qualified
- Experience and extensive working knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices.
- Experience in negotiation, supervisory and leadership roles.
- Experience working to deadlines and within budgets on large scale projects.
- Located in commutable distance to Luton.
