These include renewable energy projects such offshore wind farms, power station decarbonisation programmes, critical infrastructure upgrades including the electricity grid and regional water infrastructure upgrades and mass transit projects at city and region scale.

We are seeking environmental consultants who are early in their career and who have a curious mindset, want to deliver technical excellence, and to grow in a team that takes on and leads complex environmental projects. The position is for an Environmental Consultant based in our growing Glasgow or Edinburgh Environment teams. The role focuses on delivering all stages of EIA and consenting for major infrastructure projects, predominantly in renewable energy, decarbonisation and water infrastructure across Scotland and the UK. This offers a strong platform to learn, grow and flourish in delivering industry‑leading environment and sustainability consultancy services.

You will undertake environmental management and assessment work. This will focus on supporting EIA Coordinators, assisting specialist environmental teams and supporting the team leaders in delivering major projects.

Responsibilities
  • Writing sections of environmental reports including EIA screening letters, EIA scoping reports and non‑technical sections of Environmental Statements.
  • Supporting the review of technical inputs for alignment with project details and EIA compliance.
  • Inputting to environmental design and applying environmental‑led design principles.
  • Interfacing with project teams both internal and external.
  • Communicating and liaising with clients.
