Role Overview
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities. Working primarily in the UK water market, you will be involved in the feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment systems.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects, from concept design to commissioning, ensuring meticulous consideration and integration of electrical aspects.
Responsibilities- Preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
- Producing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
- Supervising and mentoring graduates and engineers to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Applying and contributing to design standards with knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
- Positively engaging with clients, building relationships and supporting them to achieve their aims.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g. ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
- Experience of successfully delivering high‑quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
