IC Validation Engineer

For their electro‑optical sensors group in Edinburgh, they seek an IC Validation Engineer with expertise in either Mixed Signal IP Validation or Top‑Level System Validation.

• Develop and execute validation plans for IP blocks and subsystems
• Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure successful IP validation
• Carry out testing, simulation, and analysis to verify functionality and performance
• Debug design and performance issues and communicate findings to the design team
• Develop automation tools and scripts to improve validation efficiency
• Support successful tape‑out of analog IP blocks

• BSc / MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Several years of industry experience in mixed signal IP validation
• Strong understanding of circuit design and validation methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
  
  Experience with industry‑standard simulation tools (LTspice, eDesignSuite)
• Proficiency in Python and Perl for automation and scripting tasks
