Structural Engineer

An established consulting engineering practice is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its structural engineering team in Edinburgh.

Candidates should hold a degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, have a strong interest in building structures, and possess several years of experience within UK consulting engineering.

• Undertaking structural design for building projects.
• Developing and producing structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Reviewing architectural drawings and developing structural layouts.
• Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, and other members of the design team.
• Attending project meetings, design team meetings, and site inspections.
• Managing smaller projects, or discrete elements of larger projects, from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Assisting with inspections, structural reports, and statutory approval submissions.
• Working alongside graduate engineers and technicians.
• Contributing to technical delivery, quality assurance, and project administration.

Applicants should have:

• A BEng or MEng in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
