We are looking for an Associate Director to lead a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and sustainability professionals, shaping the future of resilience and adaptation by providing advisory services. The role will be based in Bristol, Edinburgh, or London (with flexible hybrid model).
Responsibilities- Strengthen our position as a leader in climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategies for infrastructure and business clients in the UK and across Europe.
- Collaborate with practice leadership to develop climate resilience service offerings for collaborative projects and external clients.
- Contribute to the delivery of our ambitious business plan by growing market share in infrastructure sectors such as energy, transport, and water, and in government services and wider business resilience.
- Lead, manage and deliver commercially successful projects, maintaining high-quality professional outputs.
- Develop talent within the team through line management, mentoring, and upskilling colleagues on climate resilience and adaptation.
- Experience in developing climate change resilience and adaptation strategies at an organisational level, including interpreting climate observation and projection data.
- Experience in climate change risk assessment of infrastructure systems and assets, designing adaptation and resilient solutions (engineered and natural) for infrastructure.
- Experience advising infrastructure sectors such as transport, water/wastewater, waste, energy, urban infrastructure, government, local government, etc.
- Proven track record in winning and delivering climate change risk assessment and adaptation strategies for infrastructure, urban/regional, and/or business clients in the UK and overseas.
- Experience with climate change adaptation projects and a strong understanding of the role of infrastructure interventions, spatial planning, and governance to increase sustainability and resilience of development.
