This is an exciting and pivotal time to join the Technical crew at Capital Theatres, with the King's Theatre reopening, transformed for the modern age, and sitting alongside the Festival Theatre and Studio Theatre. You could be the next leader of our incredible Electrics team.
About you and the roleYou will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of electrical, audio/visual and other technical requirements to visiting productions, and for being part of the management team maintaining equipment and overseeing technical standards.
The Head of Electrics is part of the wider senior management team and reports to the Technical Director in the delivery of high-quality technical support for productions, presentations and events organised by Capital Theatres across all three venues or elsewhere as required.
The position requires extensive experience in theatre lighting and AV, it is multi-skilled, and you will work across a variety of productions, venues and disciplines throughout the year taking a pro-active, positive and flexible approach to making events happen.
The role requires experience in team management, collaboration across departments, knowledge of current Health and safety practices and the provision of practical, solutions-focused technical support. This role involves regular evening and weekend work. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
